When sending your child to school, as a parent you should know basic background information about the school and its location. For my report I analyzed the District of Narragansett focusing on Narragansett Elementary School. In a quiet neighborhood you will find the only elementary school in the town of Narragansett .The school is filled with excellent teachers and eager learning students. Their reading performance progress was above the state average which was at 60% where as Narragansett was at 82% proficiency (SIC) ( Infoworks, 2007). Overall Narragansett is a great school to send your young child to. Narragansett Elementary in partnership with the parents in the community prepare the students for their future in many ways. This includes setting high standards, challenging their students to focus on their learning, pushing for imaginative and critical thinking ,providing a safe and healthy environment for their students and celebrating diversity by instructing creative learning activities throughout their school career. Their behavior and social skills reflect the values of their families and of the school. The young students come to school each day eager to learn and the teachers strive to create a comfortable learning environment.
